New Port Terminal
Frier Vest Port Terminal is a public port designed to meet the transport needs of today and the future, with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and global connectivity.
About the Terminal
Port of Grenland (Grenland Havn) is well underway with the development of Frier Vest Port Terminal, which is being constructed in multiple phases. The first phase is set to be completed in the autumn of 2026.
The terminal will play a vital role in Grenland’s industrial landscape, providing direct connections to regional, national, and international transport networks. The terminal is designed to serve various industries requiring secure, reliable, and efficient logistics.
Key Terminal Data:
Total Area: 49.42 acres (20 hectares) (approx. 200,000 m²)
Capacity: Phase one will handle 130,000 TEUs, with future expansion options for 200,000 TEUs, dry and liquid bulk, and project cargo
Deep-water Quay: 14 meters deep, designed to accommodate modern container vessels
Quay Length: Phase one will be 180 meters, with potential for extension
Benefits of Port Connectivity
Frier Vest Port Terminal will be a modern port directly connected to Frier Vest, at the heart of the Grenland industrial region.
